Soil: free-draining to sandy soil. Will perform best with extra organic matter in the soil.
Water: during warmer months if needed. Avoid winter watering.
Fertilizer: Feed twice a year a slow-release fertilizer designed for flowering trees
Temperature: need a season of cooler temperatures (50 to 55 degrees Fahrenheit)
Pruning: Very little pruning may be required in springtime, hard pruning done may reduce flowering.
