Delonix Regia Orange - 4 M Ht
Delonix regia is a branched, broad, spreading, flat crowned deciduous tree from the flowering plant family Fabaceae. The attractive, semi-deciduous leaves are elegant and fern-like. Long, dark brown seed pods hang on the tree throughout the winter.
The flowers of Delonix are large, with four spreading scarlet or orange-red petals and a fifth upright petal called the standard petal.
Planting & Care
SunLight: perform best in large, open spaces and full sunlight.
Soil: For best results and a healthy life of plant it should be planted in moist and well-drained soil,
Water: Well-established trees require very little supplemental irrigation. Water thoroughly in the summer and reduce watering in winter and rainy seasons.
Fertilizer: During the main growing season (June-July) feed the plant with organic fertilizer. Use a complete fertilizer with a ratio such as 8-4-12 or 7-3-7.
Temperature: Should not be exposed to temperatures below about 45F (7.2 C).
Pruning: Prune out damaged wood after blooming ends in late summer, beginning when the tree is about one year old.
